We are an experimental group directed by Professor Artur Podhorodecki, in the Department of Experimental Physics of Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. The group was established in 2011 as a part of Laboratory of Optical Spectroscopy of Nanostructures. The group leads a comprehensive and interdisciplinary research on colloidal nanostructures. Our activity focuses on fundamental research in the fields of physics, materials science, chemistry, biology, microscopy and electronics. The group activity is built around five connected complementary laboratories:
Laboratory of colloidal nanomaterials synthesis
Activity: Development of new semiconducting nanostructures and new methods of synthesis
Laboratory of colloidal nanomaterials surface engineering
Activity: Nanostructures surface engineering to transform NCs surfaces from hydrophobic to functional.
Laboratory of colloidal nanomaterials spectroscopy
Activity: Optical characterization of nanostructures in energy (6.0 – 0.5 eV) and time domains (1 ns – 1s). Development of new techniques for optical characterization.
Laboratory of optical imaging of nanomaterials
Activity: Spectroscopy and imaging of single nanostructures. Development of superresolution techniques for nanostructures and biological imaging.
Laboratory of colloidal nanomaterials optoelectronics
Activity: Design and development of LEDs and PV modules based on colloidal nanostructures.
